At Home in Wild Roots

by | Sep 4, 2025

When families look for a Montessori preschool or a Reggio Emilia-inspired childcare program, they’re seeking a nurturing and comfortable environment for their child. Families across Temecula, Murrieta, and surrounding communities quickly discover that they’ve found exactly that when they walk through our doors. Most families with young children who need a school for their children want more than just academics or daycare. They’re looking for a place where they can feel at ease knowing their child is safe, cared for, and content. At Wild Roots, that’s exactly what we’ve created.

When walking through Wild Roots, one can’t help but notice how peaceful it feels. The feeling of quiet yet fulfilling engagement amongst the children and educators satisfies the soul. Soft music plays in the background; little voices spark conversations from the classrooms, and the aroma of essential oils and homemade food fills the air. Each beautifully prepared, inviting space looks, smells, and sounds like home.

Our classrooms are calm, inviting, and thoughtfully designed with natural light, cozy reading areas, and real materials that resemble a home environment.

The appealing aesthetics and purposeful activities throughout the facility truly create a home-like and comfortable feeling for all to enjoy. From the snack and food prep areas to the carefully arranged shelves lined with hands-on activities, the indoor spaces make everyone want to stay a while. Our landscaped natural playgrounds with gardens, mud kitchens and art spaces, feel like a family homestyle backyard. This inviting environment helps children feel comfortable and at home, while also encouraging creativity and exploration.Outdoor preschool environment with wooden playhouse, seating cushions, and activity table inspired by Montessori and Reggio Emilia learning

Both Montessori and Reggio Emilia philosophies view the classroom as the “third teacher.” At Wild Roots, the environment itself plays a vital role in a child’s learning journey.

Children care for plants, use real materials, and gather for meaningful work and projects that reflect the respect and collaboration they experience at home. The mixed age group in our primary classrooms provide a family-like relationship where everyone feels they have an integral role.

By offering a nurturing, home-like setting, Wild Roots Holistic Learning Center gives children the best of all worlds: a place to grow naturally, academically and socially while feeling truly cared for and valued. Families often tell us that our classrooms feel like an extension of their own home and our staff, an extension of their family—and those are the greatest compliments we could receive!Preschool child reading a book in a cozy reading corner with colorful wall mural and bookshelf
