Our Educational Approach
Spark Curiosity
Infants are naturally curious about every sound, texture, face, and movement around them. Sensory materials, mirrors, books, music, outdoor experiences, and freedom of movement invite children to observe, reach, grasp, listen, and discover at their own pace.
Nurture Creativity
A typical day includes tummy time near the classroom mirror, reaching and grasping activities, crawling exploration, sensory play, and age-appropriate art experiences. Music, movement, simple instruments, and songs encourage early communication while giving infants playful opportunities to engage their senses and bodies.
Cultivate Independence
Our infant care team provides just enough guidance to help infants develop new skills while allowing them the time and space to try for themselves. A thoughtfully arranged environment, accessible materials, and freedom of movement support growing independence by encouraging infants to reach, practice self-feeding, sit, crawl, and make simple choices.
A Day in Our Lavender Room!
A Gentle Start
Infants begin their morning with soft music, warm greetings, and time to settle into the classroom at their own pace.
Teachers follow each child’s individual rhythm while offering books, developmentally-informed toys, songs, and meaningful one-on-one interactions throughout the morning.
Movement, Music & Sensory Discovery
A typical day includes tummy time near the classroom mirror, reaching and grasping activities, crawling exploration, sensory play, and age-appropriate art experiences. Music, movement, simple instruments, and songs encourage early communication while giving infants playful opportunities to engage their senses and bodies.
Fresh Air & Growing Independence
Infants spend time outdoors enjoying fresh air, natural light, and the sights and sounds of the surrounding environment. Older infants are encouraged to participate during snacks and meals through self-feeding opportunities, while accessible materials and freedom of movement allow them to practice new skills and make simple choices.
