The Rosemary Room
TODDLERS | 2 to 3 years
Capable, Curious Toddlers
The Rosemary Room is designed for children who are becoming increasingly active, expressive, and determined to do things for themselves. The curriculum balances movement, practical skills, creativity, language development, and growing social awareness.

Our Educational Approach
Spark Curiosity
Children investigate early language, mathematics, science, practical life, sensory materials, and the natural world through hands-on experiences. Educators give them time to repeat, experiment, ask questions, and discover how things work through their own efforts.
Nurture Creativity
Art, storytelling, music, movement, building, dramatic play, and collaborative experiences encourage children to represent their ideas in different ways. Rather than focusing only on a finished product, educators value experimentation, imagination, and each child’s individual creative process.
Cultivate Independence
Children practice pouring, serving, cleaning, dressing, toileting, organizing their belongings, and choosing purposeful work. Educators offer support when needed while still giving children the time and confidence to try for themselves.
A Day in Our Rosemary Room!
Purposeful Work & Early Academics
Children begin their day with an extended period of Montessori-inspired work, choosing materials that introduce language, early mathematics, practical life, sensorial exploration, and science. Educators provide individual and small-group lessons while giving children time to repeat activities, solve problems, and complete increasingly involved work.
Creative Projects, Art & Music
A day may include painting, collage, clay, drawing, building, dramatic play, storytelling, music, and movement. Classroom projects and provocations encourage children to ask questions, share ideas, experiment with materials, and create alongside their peers.
Outdoor Learning & Self-Care
Children enjoy outdoor play through the mud kitchen, gardening, climbing, running, imaginative play, and hands-on nature exploration. Meals, cleanup, dressing, handwashing, and toileting or potty-learning routines are approached as meaningful opportunities to build confidence and independence.
