Brittany, M. Ed.

FOUNDER & HEAD OF SCHOOL, Parent to 3 Wild Roots Children!

Brittany is the founder and Head of School of Wild Roots Holistic Learning Center. For more than 15 years, she has worked to create an early learning experience that is nurturing, beautiful, purposeful, and full of wonder. She believes deeply that early education helps shape not only how children learn, but the confidence, character, curiosity, and compassion they will carry into the future.

Brittany earned her bachelor’s degree in Social Work from San Diego State University, an AMI Montessori diploma through the Montessori Institute of San Diego, and a Master’s degree in Education through Loyola University Maryland. Before founding Wild Roots, she operated Little Horse Montessori, a home-based program that grew into her vision for a more holistic, personal approach to early childhood education.

Her approach blends Montessori’s independence, practical life, and purposeful work with the creativity, collaboration, and open-ended exploration of Reggio Emilia. As both an educator and a Wild Roots parent, Brittany understands the importance of creating a place where children are truly known, warmly cared for, and inspired to become capable, thoughtful people who will help shape their communities and the world ahead.

Taylor

CENTER DIRECTOR

GET TO KNOW TAYLOR

Taylor has been working with kids nearly her entire life and holds a Bachelor of Arts in Elementary Education as well as Child Development coursework. She has done everything from nannying to pastoring a kids ministry to now directing childcare! She has spent the last few years just outside of Seattle as an Early Childhood Education Center Director with the YMCA, but she is originally from Orange County and is happy to be back in the sunshine! Taylor has two exuberant children enrolled at Wild Roots, Harper and Archie, who can usually be found barefoot and/or covered in dirt. Inspired by her children, she believes wholeheartedly in high-quality care and education that fosters growth of the whole child while cherishing the magic of childhood. She loves music, theatre, and arts of all kinds (especially fiber arts!) and strives to incorporate them into daily activities as much as possible. She is a lifelong learner, constantly reading and researching, and is always interested in connecting with and learning from her students and families. She loves spending time with her kids, husband, and cattle dog, Billie, particularly at Disneyland, the beach, or anywhere outdoors. She is thrilled to be at Wild Roots and is so excited to get to serve kids and families!

Sydney

WISTERIA ROOM LEAD TEACHER
(Preschool & Primary, Ages 2.5 - 6 years)

GET TO KNOW SYDNEY

Sydney has been working in Early Childhood Education for several years and brings a thoughtful, child-centered approach to her work in the classroom. With a strong background in child development and social and behavioral sciences, she has developed a deep understanding of how young children learn and grow. Sydney is especially inspired by the Reggio Emilia philosophy and values creating environments that invite curiosity, creativity, and meaningful exploration. She believes the classroom acts as a “third teacher,” intentionally designed to reflect children’s interests and support open-ended learning experiences. Sydney finds so much joy in watching children grow in their confidence and take pride in their work. Outside of the classroom, she enjoys working out, spending time outdoors, visiting Disneyland, and anything creative or arts-related. She is passionate about creating a positive environment where children feel happy, safe, and excited to learn each day.

Jackie

LEAD TEACHER, ROSEMARY ROOM
(Young Toddlers Ages 2 - 3 years)

Jackie is a mother to a wonderful three-year-old. She has over 11 years of experience as a nanny and is a certified Newborn Care Specialist. She has completed Early Childhood Education coursework through Santa Ana College and continues to further her education in child development. She has always had a passion for working with young children and supporting their growth through nurturing, play-based experiences. She loves creating a warm and engaging environment where children feel safe, confident, and inspired to explore and learn. She is so excited to be a part of the Wild Roots team and looks forward to building meaningful connections with the children and families!

Blanca

LEAD TEACHER, LAVENDER ROOM
(Infants and Babies Ages 6 weeks - 12 months)

Ms. Blanca has been working in Early Childhood Education since 2013. She holds an Associate of Science degree in Disability Services from Imperial Valley College and continued her studies in Early Child Development.

She has extensive experience working with infants and toddlers and is passionate about creating a warm, safe, and nurturing environment where each child feels supported as they explore and grow. Blanca approaches her work with empathy, patience, and a deep respect for every child’s individual needs.

As a mother of twin daughters, she understands the trust it takes to leave a child in someone else’s care. This perspective strengthens her commitment to building meaningful relationships with both children and families.
Blanca has a special love for working with children in their earliest stages of development, where she can witness and support their rapid growth and milestones.

She looks forward to continuing to nurture and guide young children during this important time in their lives.

Leah

KINDERGARTEN LEAD TEACHER
(Ages 5 - 6)

Leah holds an Associate in Arts degree from Saddleback College and a California Child Development Teacher Permit issued by the California Commission on Teacher Credentialing. She is committed to providing high-quality early childhood education that supports the whole child, socially emotionally and academically. Inspired by Montessori and Reggio Emilia approaches, Leah strives to foster independence, curiosity and childhood discovery. She thoughtfully plans her classroom environment to encourage exploration while maintaining consistency, helping children feel safe, confident, and ready to learn.

Leah has worked in the child development field for 26 years serving as both a center director and teacher with children ranging from infants through kindergarten. This extensive experience has given her a deep understanding of early childhood development at every stage in addition to her professional background she is a mother of two sons now in their early 20’s, which has further shaped her patience perspective and ability to connect with children and families.

Most recently working in kindergarten and transitional kindergarten settings Leah enjoys guiding children as they build foundational skills and grow into confident learners. She is especially passionate about creating engaging routines, meaningful activities in learning environments that are developmentally appropriate. Leah is passionate and nurturing educator who believes children learning best through hands-on exploration and meaningful play. She values giving children the time and space to develop skills independently while building confidence at their own pace Leah‘s known for her calm presence, strong organization and ability to connect with children in meaningful ways. She works closely with families to create supportive classroom community where every child feels valued and encouraged to succeed.

Kim

GET TO KNOW KIM

Kimberly has worked in the preschool environment for the past five years and previously spent six years as a nanny. She is a California native and has lived in Rancho Santa Margarita for 30 years. Kimberly is passionate about helping children feel seen, engaged, and cared for. She has a gentle, attentive, and present approach, and she enjoys supporting children through all stages of development, watching them grow from infancy through the early years.

As a mother of an adult son, Kimberly understands the importance of creating a warm, safe, and nurturing environment for both children and their families. In her free time, Kimberly enjoys reading and spending quiet time on her balcony, surrounded by trees and flowers.
